India Tuesday said that it has exchanged with Pakistan a list of nuclear installations and facilities covered under the Prohibition of Attack against Nuclear installations agreement between the two arch rivals.

"India and Pakistan today exchanged, through diplomatic channels simultaneously at New Delhi and Islamabad, the list of nuclear installations and facilities covered under the Agreement on the Prohibition of Attack against Nuclear installations between India and Pakistan," the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said in a release.

The annual list exchange has been taking place since 1992 under a bilateral pact between the two countries signed in 1988.

Both India and Pakistan are nuclear powers and have fought three major wars since 1947.
