France's GDF Suez to recruit 10,100 workers in 2012

France's largest utility company GDF Suez planned to hire 10,100 employees in France this year, a local media reported on Monday.

In an interview with the daily Le Monde, Gerard Mestrallet, the group's chairman said the company will offer 7,600 permanent employment contracts and 2,500 fixed term contracts in 2012.

"The group will maintain its 30-billion-euro (39.34-U.S. dollar) investment (program) by 2013 worldwide while keeping healthy financial structure to prepare for the recovery," Mestrallet said in remarks posted on the daily website.

Since 2008, the French company has invested 10 billion euros (13.11 billion U.S. dollars) in France and created 30,000 jobs, he added.

In 2010, French leading power producer reported 84.5 billion euros (110.79 billion U.S. dollars) of revenues, up by 5.7 percent from 2009 results.
