Reshuffle continues in Russia's Kremlin, govt

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Ministers Dmitry Medvedev continued the reshuffle in the Kremlin and government on Tuesday following the formation of a new government.

According to official press services, several ministers, who were not included in the new government, were employed in the Kremlin administration.

Former ministers Tatyana Golikova, Elvira Nabiullina, Andrei Fursenko, Yuri Trutnev and Igor Shegolev were appointed presidential aides.

Medvedev's press secretary Natalia Timakova followed her boss moving from the Kremlin to the government in the same role.

Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov also followed his boss in the opposite direction. In addition, he was appointed as deputy presidential chief of staff.

Sergei Ivanov kept the post of presidential chief of staff. Vyacheslav Volodin and Alexei Gromov became Ivanov's first deputies. Ex-government chief of staff Anton Vaino became deputy presidential chief of staff.

Putin on Monday signed a decree to approve the formation and lineup of the new government, of which three-quarters was made up by new names.
