NATO chief to visit Georgia |

NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen is scheduled to visit Tbilisi, the national capital of the south Caucasian country of Georgia, Thursday, the Georgian foreign ministry announced Monday.
It will be the third visit by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) chief to Georgia, said Nino Kalandadze, deputy foreign minister of Georgia.
During his one-day stay in Tbilisi, the NATO chief will meet the Georgian troops who will depart for Afghanistan for mission rotation in the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force ( ISAF) operations.
Rasmussen will also attend an annual gathering of Georgian diplomats posted in foreign countries, coupled with the attendance of foreign ministers from Argentina, Poland, Sweden and Venezuela, according to the deputy foreign minister of Georgia. |
