Foreign ministers from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania and Romania are scheduled to arrive in Tbilisi Monday for a joint visit in the tune-up toward Georgia's Oct.1 parliamentary elections.

Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze told a routine weekly briefing that the five European Union country foreign ministers are to start their visit by discussing bilateral ties with their Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze.

EU-Georgia relations and issues in connection with the Georgian parliamentary elections are also on the agenda of the joint visit.

The deputy foreign minister said that the visit would aim at expressing support to the democratic conduct of the elections and at reiterating support for Georgia's reforms and its Euro-Atlantic integration aspiration.

Foreign ministers from Poland and Sweden visited the South Caucasus country last week and also discussed issues concerning the upcoming parliamentary elections.
