Four rockets launched from the Gaza Strip hit the south of Israel on Wednesday, causing no injuries or damages so far.
The Qassam rockets landed near the city of Sderot in the Shaar HaNegev Regional Council, activating the alarms in the area, Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told Xinhua.
Last month the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched an air strike against a weapon manufacturing site in central Gaza and three tunnels connecting the Palestinian enclave to Egypt in response to a barrage of rockets fired into Israel.
"The IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli civilians, and will operate against anyone who exerts terror against the State of Israel," an IDF press release said after the air strike. |
