Netanyahu: Iran is undermining world stability
Last Updated(Beijing Time):2012-02-15 23:25

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday condemned Iran as "the world's largest exporter of terrorism," in remarks at a special Knesset ( parliament) session.

"In recent days, Iran's terror operations are being exposed to all," Netanyahu said during the meeting to honor Croatian President Ivo Josipovic, who also met with President Shimon Peres and other Israeli officials.

Netanyahu charged Teheran with "undermining world stability," and said that "it attacks innocent diplomats worldwide," referring to Monday's dual terror attacks against Israeli employees at missions in India and Georgia, which wounded one woman, and Tuesday's botched bombing attempt in Bangkok.

"These three Iranian men are an assassination team and their targets were Israeli diplomats including the ambassador," a senior Thai official told reporters Wednesday, adding that "their plan was to attach bombs to diplomats' cars."

Officials in Teheran have denied any connection to the attacks, and alleged that Israel itself carried out the bombings as part of a so-called "false-flag" attack, one intended to "tarnish Iran's friendly ties" with Georgia and India.
