| Gaza rocket hits Israeli home in Ashdod |

A mortar shell launched from the Gaza Strip directly hit an Israeli house in the southern city of Ashdod on Monday, local source told Xinhua.
"The damage appears to be significant," the source said. The rocket also damaged some cars and nearby stores.
The casualty is unknown at this moment.
The exchange of fire between Israel and Gaza militants has entered the fourth day. The Israeli army reported that more than 140 rockets has been fired at Israeli towns since the beginning of the escalation.
According to Palestinian medical sources, the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since Friday have killed over 20 Palestinians and injured 70 others. |
