Visiting French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe said Wednesday France will not tolerate terrorism and the assailant who killed four Jews in a terror shooting at a religious school in the French city of Toulouse will be brought to justice.

"The blood of both of our nations was spilled in this murder," the visiting French foreign minister told Israeli President Shimon Peres.

Earlier Monday, an unknown gunman on a scooter opened fire on a group of parents and children outside the Ozar Hatorah school in the French city of Toulouse, killing four Jews.

Juppe, who flied to Israel early Wednesday with caskets of the four school shooting victims, was quoted by The Jerusalem Post as saying that he came to Israel "in order to express and represent our solidarity with families of the victims that were killed in this intolerable murder."

Among the victims identified Monday were Yonathan Sandler, 30, a Jewish studies teacher from Jerusalem, and his two children, Aryeh, 6, and Gavriel, 3; and Miriam Monstango, 8, the school principle's daughter, according to The Jerusalem Post.

Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon met Juppe at the airport upon their arrival, and thanked him for the "French government's moving humane gesture and for the full cooperation and the urgent action to find the assailants and bring them to justice," according to a ministry statement.

"Today, all Israel is in pain and mourning over the deaths of innocent children and a dedicated father," according to the statement.

Both Juppe and Ayalon attended the traditional recitation of the Kaddish prayer for the dead, as the caskets were transferred from the plane.
