A tear gas canister, fired by Israeli soldiers on West Bank protesters, injured a Palestinian youth in the face, medical sources and witnesses said Friday.
The medical sources said that Wasim Ibraheem, 19, was seriously injured.
Witnesses said that Israeli soldiers fired rubber bullets and tear gas grenades to disperse the villagers protesting the building of the West Bank barrier and the expansion of settlements.
The incident took place in Kafar Qadoum village near Qalqilya city.
The Palestinians organize demonstrations every week in several parts of the West Bank against the expansion of Israeli settlements. |
