Lebanon will host a regional forum for partnership projects between public and private sectors later this month, head of Lebanese Privatization Council announced Wednesday.

The forum, scheduled on May 22 and May 23, is organized by the council under the auspices of Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Ziad Hayek, secretary general of the council, said at a press conference.

"Lebanon's hosting to the forum coincides with the return of the partnership between public and private sectors issue to the cabinet's agenda, and it shall give a push and an impetus for the project law since it depicts the growing importance of partnerships across the world," Hayek was quoted by the National News Agency as saying.

The Privatization Council, in cooperation with the Arab Fund for financing infrastructure projects, is holding the forum to tackle the market situation and needs after the unrest in the Arab region.
