Japan's jobless rate rise to 4.6 pct in January |

Japan's jobless rate rose to 4.6 percent in January, 0.1 percentage up from the previous month, the government said Friday.
The main reason of the increase from 4.5 percent in December is that some employed female are seeking higher-paid jobs for economic recovery. The seasonally adjusted figure marked the first deterioration in two months.
The jobless rate of male is 4.9 percent stayed at the same level of previous month while, that for women increased to 4.4 percent from 4.0 percent.
According to the government, the number of people employed came to 62.59 million, down 350,000 or 0.6 percent from December. |
