U.S. private-sector added more jobs than forecast in June, which may ease concern the labor market was deteriorating, a leading industry report revealed on Thursday.

The U.S. private-sector added 176,000 jobs From May to June on a seasonally adjusted basis, more than economists' average estimate of 100,000. Estimated gains from April to May were revised up to 136,000 from the initial estimate of 133,000, according to the National Employment Report released by Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP)

Small and medium businesses accounted for the majority of the employment gains this month, adding 165,000 jobs in total, while large businesses only increased 11,000 jobs.

The employment in the service-providing sector rose by 160,000 in June, while jobs in the goods-producing sector increased 16,000, according to the report.

In addition, construction employment rose by 8,000 jobs, more than reversing the declines of the two previous months. The financial services sector added 11,000 jobs from May to June, extending this sector's consecutive advances to seven months.

The U.S. government will release the June jobs report on Friday, which may depict a more definite picture of employment.
