| Spanish banks' debt to ECB decrease by 9.6% in Oct |

The debt owed by Spanish banks to the European Central Bank (ECB) fell in October by 9.6 percent and reached 341.6 billion euros (434.8 billion U.S. dollars), the Bank of Spain reported on Wednesday.
It was the second consecutive decline of Spanish banks' debt to the ECB after a 11-month rise that set records in July and August.
Spanish banks' debt to the ECB represents 38.6 percent of the total eurozone's debt of 885.5 billion euros, under 50 percent for the third time after peaking at 80 percent before Spain requested financial aid from the European Union. |
