A three-day BASIS SoftExpo, Bangladesh's biggest showcase for software products, has been underway in capital Dhaka.

Hundreds of national and international IT companies are showcasing their products and services in this mega annual event 15th BASIS SOFTEXPO 2019.

Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), the ICT sector platform, in association with the ICT Division, jointly organized the expo.

The gathering of ICT companies, personalities, key policy makers, industry leaders and other ICT stakeholders is aimed at showcasing IT and ITES products and services in Bangladesh, BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir had earlier said.

Bangladeshi Post, Telecommunications and ICT Minister Mustafa Jabbar inaugurated the program as the chief guest while State Minister for Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology, Zunaid Ahmed Palak attended as a special guest.

BASIS has been organizing the annual mega event BASIS SOFTEXPO since 2003.

According to the organizers, the largest regional technological event will focus on creating more collaborative relationships at national and international level, inviting trade delegations from various countries to experience the immense potentials of Bangladeshi ICT industry.

They said scores of national and international speakers have been sharing their thoughts in different sessions on the sidelines of the expo.
