Dialectica: Among Europe's fastest growing companies
By Teti Igoumenidi
Dialectica is one of the fastest growing companies in Greece and abroad, very active in the market of research services.
It employs approximately 800 workers in Athens, London, Montreal, Vancouver and New York. All its clients are abroad and as estimated by its co-founder and managing director, Giorgos Tsarouchas, speaking to "Naftemporiki”, “Dialectica in three to five years it will have revenues of the order of 250 million euros.”
Europe's fastest growing companies
In 2022 Dialectica was included in the Financial Times list of "Europe's fastest growing companies". It entered this list in 2021. In the same year it was awarded by Great Place to Work? as one of the best working environments in Europe for the second year in a row and since 2020 it has been consistently on the annual list of Best WorkplacesTM Greece.
Technology has played a key role in the company's growth since day one. All operations - from the way departments work together to how we find expertise from around the world in minutes - are carried out on an internal platform that we have developed in the company. The company's tech team currently consists of more than 60 people and our goal is to reach 100 within the next few months”.
During the last five years Dialectica, which started operating in 2015, has been growing at a rate of 100% per year, profitable with a turnover of 50 million euros (2021). This year it will have an increase of about 40%. It has not received any financing from a bank or investor.
"We are very active in the broader market of research in a sophisticated form" points out the head of Dialectica and explains how it works and what the company does:
"In the past and especially before the Internet age, when someone wanted to obtain information about a product, a market, they asked market research companies for a report. The customer read it and acted accordingly.
Dialectica has developed all this. It provides communication with the specialist, a more complete experience than a report. Imagine the difference between reading a report on the real estate market in the Southern Suburbs of Attica or talking to an experienced realtor in the area. He will undoubtedly get a fuller picture of the subject he is interested in by talking to an expert.
Our future will be highly technological, combining in the best possible way artificial and human intelligence.
Design and development
"It is possible for Dialectica to evolve into a big data analysis company", answers Mr. Tsarouhas to the relevant question of "Naftemporiki".
“And now we're processing the data but to a point, there are many layers. We are thinking about it, but it is not our priority at this stage. Expanding to the US is a priority to serve our customers immediately, overcoming the time difference. The American market is huge and we want to grow there further."
