The Dutch unemployment dropped by 11,000 people to a total of 674,000 in October, statistics from the Dutch Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) showed on Thursday.

In October, 8.5 percent of the workforce was unemployed. In July this year, unemployment rose to a record high of 694,000 (8.7 percent) after an increase of two years.

Unemployment especially dropped in the age group 15-24 years (-3,000) and 25-44 years (-6,000).
