Third-party measures
The People's Bank of China (PBC)unveiled a notice Monday requiring all third-party payment service providers to verify the information of buyers' provisions, which are payment funds deposited by the shoppers, everyday in a bid to protect consumers' rights and ?enhance management of the buyer's funds.
The notice stated specific measures, processes and related rules for verifying the information of the buyers' provisions.
In June this year, the PBC released policies requiring third-party payment service providers to keep buyers' provisions in full until the transactions are finalized to minimize fraud risks.
