Macao's monthly gaming revenues hits new history record in Oct.
Macao's casino industry recorded gross gaming revenues of 36.48 billion patacas ($4.56 billion) last month, setting a new monthly income in history, according to the figures released Friday by the city's Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.
That was 31.7 percent more than gross gaming revenues in October 2012, up 25.9 percent month-to-month, the date indicated.
The total gaming revenues reached 297.11 billion patacas (about $37.14 billion) during the first 10 months this year, up by 18.4 percent year-on-year.
Macao is the only city in China where gambling is legal, with 35 casinos, 5,748 gaming tables and 14,775 slot machines by the end of the third quarter this year.
