Officials from Lille, northern France, vowed greater efforts on Tuesday to target Chinese investment.
Special focus will be placed on three regions; Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, said Yann Pito llet, chief executive officer of the Investment Promotion Agency for Northern France.
Pitollet is visiting Shanghai and neighboring cities, looking for market opportunities with local governments and enterprises.
To date, 10 Chinese companies have invested in Lille.
"New projects are under discussion with Chinese investors to develop industries especially, IT, digital economy, e-commerce and railway manufacturing," he said, but he didn't give details on investors or investment.
The agency has signed coo peration agreements with the Beijing and Hangzhou branches of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade to develop economic relations.
