The 10th China-ASEAN Expo will hold 21 large-scale conferences, forums, exhibitions, seminars and promotional activities in every important area of cooperation, according to organizers.

The theme of this year's expo is "Developing Regional Cooperation: New Opportunities and New Driving Forces as Relations Reach a New Stage".

The China-ASEAN Interconnectivity Special Ministerial Conference will be held during the expo.

The conference will help to make China and ASEAN more interconnected by promoting bilateral cooperation with regard to infrastructure construction and removing institutional constraints that hinder the development of ties.

As the host of the expo, the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region is expected to play a major role in the process.

Coffee products from ASEAN countries will be on display in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi, at this year's expo. There will be more business opportunities for enterprises in agriculture as well.

At the agricultural exhibit, 13.3 percent of roughly 700 booths have been booked by ASEAN enterprises.

One of the highlights at this year's expo is the China-ASEAN Expo Investment Cooperation Roundtable Conference.

There will also be conferences to promote businesses located in ASEAN industrial parks as well as those inside the China-Malaysia industrial parks in Qinzhou and Kuantan.

Another forum of note is the seminar on the Pingxiang border free trade model zone.

This year's expo will showcase a selection of featured cities from 10 countries to recognize the contributions they have made to bilateral cooperation.

These cities are Nanning, China; Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei; Kampong Thom province, Cambodia; the Yogyakarta special region, Indonesia; Vientiane, Laos; Ipoh, Malaysia; Trat province, Thailand; Singapore; Isabella province, the Phillipines and Binh Dinh province, Vietnam.

Advanced technology will be a special subject for this year's expo. The expo will organize a platform for technological exchanges and cooperation in some important fields.

The China-ASEAN Technology Transfer and Cooperation Conference and China-ASEAN Advanced Technology Exchange Meeting will be held in the expo.

Many famous enterprises from China, ASEAN and the Europe will participate in this year's light industrial product exhibit. This exhibit has been a successful activity of the expo since the exhibit was first held in 2011.
