Senior CPC official meets Mozambican guests

A senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official on Wednesday called on China and Mozambique to deepen their bilateral cooperation and party-to-party communication.

Guo Jinlong, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks while meeting with a delegation of senior officers of Mozambique's ruling party, Frelimo.

Guo, also Beijing's Party chief, noted that Chinese President Xi Jinping and Mozambican President Armando Guebuza have met several times since last year and reached consensus to give new impetus to the development of bilateral ties.

Guo expressed hope that the two sides can make joint efforts to explore news ways and channels of party-to-party communication and cooperation.

Zeca Morgado, a member of the Central Committee of Frelimo, predicted strengthened communication and cooperation in various fields between the two countries.
