Chinese foreign ministry's spokesman has re-emphasized China's stance, accusing Washington of having a double standard.

"China is firmly opposed to hackers and the act of stealing secrets electronically. We not only say this, but also forbid it by law. I think the US should reflect on its own actions, they should stop making all types of excuses and admit its mistakes. If you want to be a great power you should not engage in hegemony. It should think about others' interests and respect other nations' concerns. It should not use one standard on itself and impose another standard on other people."
