Citing Bangladesh's continued economic growth in recent years, Yu called on China and Bangladesh to work closely, make best of their advantages and accomplish the countries' prosperity and people's wealth.

With the joint efforts, the leaders' consensus will be implemented and the substantial cooperation will bring more benefits to the two countries and upgrade China's collaboration with Bangladesh and South Asian countries, Yu said.

He underscored the CPPCC's commitment to developing closer ties with Bangladesh, pledging to share more experience on state governance and boost the exchanges in business, academics, culture and region.

Sheikh Hasina Wajed, who is on her third visit to China but the first since she was elected prime minister for the second time in January, appreciated China's long-term support and help to Bangladesh.

She said Bangladesh will adhere to its friendly policy towards China and deepen collaboration with China in all fields.
