The 5th China-ASEAN Industry Cooperation Conference was held in Kunming, SW China lately.

After discussions, the China-ASEAN Logistics Industry Cooperation Committee was officially set up.

During this conference, representatives of logistics industry from China and ASEAN countries exchanged ideas on situation of international logistics industry and the feasibility of mutual benefit and win-win results by strengthening cooperation under the framework of China-ASEAN ASEAN Free Trade Area.

The representatives agreed that the establishment of China-ASEAN Logistics Industry Cooperation Committee will further strengthen cooperation among logistics industries of China and ASEAN countries.

Executive director of China-ASEAN Business Council Xu Ningning was decided as chairman of the Chinese side of China-ASEAN Logistics Industry Cooperation Committee.

President of SM International Wholesale (China) Centre Xia Baowen made a speech as the executive chairman of Chinese side. He said committee will play a larger role on promoting comprehensive economic cooperation between China and ASEAN.

Dipolomaitc representaives from Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, the Philippine attended the conference and expressed support for the work of the committee.
