Mali's Interim President Dioncounda Traore on Monday evening signed a decree making public a list of the 31 members of the government of national unity.
The list contains 13 new members and the majority of the members of the previous government were reappointed to the government.
The dockets of defense, internal security and territorial administration still remained in the hands of the defense and security forces.
Some other departments like the Posts and communication and ICT ministry were split into two with the communication ministry becoming independent and the new information and communication technologies (ICT) also becoming an independent ministry.
Bruno Maiga, who was previously the deputy minister for youths, was appointed to head the Communication ministry while David Sagara, who previously served as the deputy decentralization minister during the regime of deposed president Amadou Toumani Toure, was appointed to serve as the environment minister. |
