A 50-year-old man is accused of killing three people, wounding one at a lumber company in North Carolina on Friday. He later shot and injured himself.
The shooting took place at McBride Lumber Co. in Star, Montgomery County of North Carolina early Friday morning. It was reported around 6:30 a.m. local time. Authorities found the accused shooter, Ronald Dean Davis, at his home nearby. He was airlifted to a nearby hospital, where he was in critical condition, according to WRAL, a local TV station.
The names of the three people who died have not been released. The fourth victim was also airlifted to a nearby hospital and was in critical condition. That person's name was also not released.
The shooter left a note, but police would not reveal what it said. Local press reports described Davis as a "disgruntled employee." |
