6.5-magnitude quake jolts South Shetland Islands in Antarctica

An earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale jolted the South Shetland Islands in Antarctica on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake was centered some 464 km west of Coronation Island, with a depth of 1 km, according to the USGS.
