The U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Thomas Nides will visit Mexico from Tuesday to Thursday for efforts to promote global tourism and economic cooperation, the State Department said in a statement Monday.
According to the statement, Nides will meet in Mexico City, the country's capital, with Mexican Government officials and business leaders to discuss the U.S.-Mexico economic relationship.
He will also deliver a speech at a conference held by the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America and attend a reception on health care technology, policy and trade mission.
In the Mexican cities of Merida and Cancun, Nides will represent the United States at the G20 Tourism Ministerial meeting (T20) and discuss U.S. tourism and travel promotion efforts at the World Travel and Tourism Council's Americas Summit, said the statement.
The G20 Tourism Ministerial meeting is aimed at promoting the dialogue among the ministers of tourism of different countries in the world. So far, there have been three ministerial meetings. The fourth meeting of the kind will be held in Merida from Tuesday to Wednesday. |
