Three people were injured and dozens of others displaced after a fire engulfed a two-storey apartment building in Houston, the largest city in the U.S. state of Texas, Wednesday.
It took about 50 firefighters an hour and a half to extinguish the fire, which started at about 6 a.m. and ruined all 16 units in the building, according to local media reports.
It became harder to find shelter for the displaced residents because the fire happened on a holiday and many offices were closed, said the reports.
Cause of the fire was not immediately known. Further investigation was under way. |
