Last Updated(Beijing Time):2013-01-08 04:19

Six teenagers have been arrested after a large fight shut down a shopping mall in the U.S. state of Louisiana on Saturday night, U.S. media reported Monday.

More than 200 teenagers were in the Mall Of Louisiana's food court when the fight broke out, according to CBS affiliate WWL-TV.

Police evacuated the mall in the capital city of Baton Rogue, which was shut down early for the night after the evacuation, WWL- TV reported.

East Baton Rouge Sheriff's deputies arrested three boys and three girls, ages 13 to 15, on several charges including disturbing the peace, simple battery and resisting an officer, according to the report.

Witnesses told local newspaper The Advocate that the trouble started after users of the social media site Instagram posted an invitation to their followers telling them to come and meet them in person at the mall.

Police spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said police were investigating how the fight started. No injuries were reported.
