Shooting kills 2 in U.S. Walmart
WASHINGTON, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Two people died and several more were injured in a shooting early Tuesday at a Walmart supermarket in the U.S. state of North Dakota, police said.
Officers responding to reports of gunshots about an hour after midnight discovered "multiple victims," and several of them were taken to hospital, Deputy Police Chief Mike Ferguson was quoted as saying.
The gunman was among the dead, according to police.
The U.S. Air Force has issued a press release saying that the shooting involved a Grand Forks Air Force Base airman.
"This incident is currently under investigation. More information will be released as soon as it becomes available," the release stated.
Police said that investigation is under way.
