7.0-magnitude quake hits Izu Islands, Japan region |

An earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale jolted Izu Islands, Japan region at 14:27:54 local time (05:27:54 GMT) on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 371.00 km, was initially determined to be at 31.4000 degrees north latitude and 138.6000 degrees east longitude.
The epicenter is 486 km southwest of the capitcal Tokyo, which felt the tremor. But so far there have been no reports of casualties or property damage. |
