Four people have been killed by biogas emitted from a septic tank in a village in Myanmar's central Magway region, official media reported Thursday.
The four out of five died while they were draining sewage water out of septic tank in Lema village in Pwintbyu township of the region on Tuesday, said the New Light of Myanmar.
They felt faint from gas and strong smell of the tank and lost consciousness due to lack of oxygen, it said.
The authorities attributed such tragedy to negligence, warning that biogas of septic tank is toxic to humans. |
