Thai van accident kills 8, injures 5 |

Eight people were killed and five others were injured when a van crashed with a parked six-wheel truck in an adjacent province of Bangkok on Friday.
The accident happened at about 7 a.m. local time on the outbound Bang Na highway in Samut Prakarn province adjacent to Bangkok.
Most of the passengers in the van were foreign labors.
The dead victims were two Thais and six Cambodians, police said.
The injured were two Burmese and three Cambodian, according to The Nation online.
Police said the van driver, Natthapong Phothong, fled the scene.
The van was hired to transport the workers form central province of Pathum Thani to northeastern province of Sa Kaew. |
