An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted sea off Japan's east coast of Honshu at 2:22 p.m. Beijing Time Tuesday (GMT 0622), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 20 km, was initially determined to be at 36.2 degrees north latitude and 141.7 degrees east longitude. |
