6 people injured in northern Philippine earthquake |

Six people, mostly children, were reportedly injured after a 5.2 magnitude earthquake jolted the northern Philippine province of Masbate early Tuesday.
National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Executive Director Benito Ramos said the victims suffered from head and foot injury. They were identified as two year-old Jiho Emilo Antonio; three-year-old Leonard Dimitillar; eight-year-old Rex Davida; Jinky Asareas, 16; Christine Dicos, 17; and Cesar Garapal, 31.
The earthquake took place at 7:06 a.m. local time, with its epicenter located in Masbate City.
Ramos added that local officials suspended classes in Masbate. |
