An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale jolted off the east coast of Honshu, Japan at 1049 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 9.50 km, was initially determined to be at 40.7991 degrees north latitude and 144.7699 degrees east longitude. |
