A magnitude-5.9 earthquake jolted sea off northeastern Japan's Fukushima at 23:04 local time, Japan Meteorological Agency(JMA) said.
The epicenter was initially determined at 37.1 degrees north latitude, 141.3 degrees east longitude with a depth of 50 km.
Tremor was felt in Tokyo. No alert for tsunami was issued. |
