A pornographic image was displayed repeatedly in the middle of a debate in the Thai parliament, shocking the entire Lower House, local media reported on Thursday.

The photo of a young Asian girl wearing only a shirt and sitting with her legs spread, touching her genitals, suddenly appeared on a 55-inch plasma screen to the left of the House speaker about 3 p.m. local time of Wednesday.

The lower house was debating on charter amendment.

The picture appeared three times and lasted about five seconds each time, replacing pictures of the chamber. Shocked House officials eventually turned off all the screens. A photographer of a local medium could captured the picture, and then went viral among Thai Internet users.

Khamphi Ditthakorn, deputy secretary-general of the House who supervises parliament's AV system, said that the four, 55-inch plasma displays in the debating chamber are Wi-Fi enabled, adding that any of the numerous visitors to parliament yesterday could have hacked into the system, according to the Bangkok Post.

The pornographic image appeared on only one closed-circuit television in the debating chamber, Khamphi said.

If it had been a mistake by a parliament official, the picture would have appeared on all four displays, he added.

A few hours later on Thursday, Democrat Member of Parliament Nutt Bantadtan was caught by an unnamed photographer looking at an erotic photo on his mobile phone during the House meeting.

The MP, on Thursday, held a press briefing at the parliament, explained that the photo was sent to his social media account and he just opened it, adding that he immediately deleted the image after he saw it's sexual provocative photo.

After the news about pornographic photos went viral on local media and social networks, Thai Internet users had outrages, saying it was inappropriate.

Thai House Speaker has ordered an investigation into the case.
