Studio burned down by fire in Kyoto |

A studio in Japan's ancient capital city of Kyoto was burned down by a fire Sunday, but there were no reports of casualties, the local media reported.
The fire broke out at around 1:30 p.m. local time at Toei Kyoto Studio located at the Ukyo District in Kyoto. No one was inside the studio when the fire occurred, but many visitors in the neighboring Toei Uzumasa Eigamura; also known as Kyoto Studio Park, were forced to be evacuated.
Local fire fighters spent two hours putting off the fire, calling in 27 fire engines and a helicopter,but the one-story, 1305-square-meter studio was destroyed, media reports said. |
