Iran, Pakistan talk on expansion of relations |

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi and the visiting Chairman of Pakistan's Senate Nayyar Hussain Bukhari explored avenues for further expansion of the relations between the two neighboring countries, the semi-official Fars news agency reported on Monday.
During the meeting on Sunday, Salehi said that using the opportunities available, Iran and Pakistan would witness further expansion of mutual ties.
Bukhari, for his part, stressed promotion of parliamentary relations between Iran and Pakistan, saying that his country is interested in enhanced ties with Iran, said the report.
He added that Tehran-Islamabad cooperation would serve mutual interests.
On Sunday, Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called for stronger economic ties between the Islamic republic and Pakistan by furthering bilateral trade transactions through border areas, Press TV reported on Monday. |
