At least two people were killed and several others trapped when a four-storey building under construction collapsed in the western Indian city of Pune on Monday, said local TV channel CNN-IBN.

The incident took place in the Shah Kar Nagar district of Pune when some 20 workers were building the house. At least seven people were trapped in the debris of concrete, said the report.

TV footage showed the whole building was reduced to a massive concrete debris where bulldozers were trying to find survivors and police officers were watching the rescue operation.
