Strong earthquake jolts Papua New Guinea

An earthquake of 7 magnitude jolted Papua New Guinea at 3:07 p.m. Beijing Time Friday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

The epicenter, with a focal depth of 50 km, was initially determined to be at 6.6 degrees south latitude and 155 degrees east longitude.
