Singapore stocks close 0.72 pct lower
Singapore stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 0.72 percent or 22.83 points to close at 3167.79.
A total of 1.49 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.00 billion Singapore dollars (about 734.5 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 281 to 108.
The STI index went up 2.34 percent or 73.01 points to close at 3190.62 Monday.
