Belarusian Foreign Ministry on Saturday called on Ukrainian political forces to stop bloodshed and take real steps toward building up a national dialogue.

Belarus is deeply concerned and worried about the recent developments in Ukraine, which led to the open armed confrontation in a number of regions of the country, the Belarusian ministry said in a statement, stressing all the parties to the conflict should realize their fullest responsibility for the future of Ukraine and should sit down at the negotiating table.

"We are particularly concerned with the tragic events in Odessa that resulted in numerous human casualties," said the statement.

Violent clashes occurred Friday between pro- and anti- government protesters in Ukraine's Black Sea city of Odessa, leaving at least 43 people killed and 174 others injured.

Belarus hopes for a prompt peaceful resolution of the crisis in Ukraine with the rights and interests of all citizens of the country fully observed, the statement said.
