Joint Baltic rescue team sent to BiH
A joint 19-member Baltic rescue team especially-equipped with pumping systems has been sent to flood-hit areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Estonian Public Broadcasting reported on Wednesday.
The team comprises nine Estonians and ten others from Latvia and Lithuania amd is expected to be on mission for 25 days.
The Ministry of Foreign had announced it had earmarked 87,000 euros (119,330 U.S dollars) from the Estonian humanitarian aid budget for the mission.
Serbia and BiH are in the midst of the worst flooding the two nations have seen since modern records began. At least 35 people have died so far after the equivalent of three months worth of rain fell on the two nations in just a few days.
