Performance of Albanian banking system reported positive in first 10 months of 2014
The Albanian Association of Banks has published a report on the performance of the bank system in the first 10 months of 2014, which estimates the performance as positive, according to Albanian Daily News on Monday.
The bank system in Albania has improved in the aspect of lending portfolio and the profits which, during the above mentioned period, are estimated to be 56.5 million euros (70.06 million U.S. dollar).
A high financial result was confirmed for October. The level of outstanding loans decreased slightly to 24.7 percent in October from 25 percent in September. Although the number of outstanding loans remains high, the situation has stabilized from the last year and banks have declared increase of their profits.
