Hungary's Szeged district prosecutor on Thursday launched an investigation into the case of the camerawoman who was caught on video tripping a migrant father carrying his child as they ran from a police line at Roszke, southern Hungary, Hungarian News Agency MTI reported.

The prosecution has received complaints that the woman had been physically belligerent with several migrants, Sandor Toro, the deputy chief prosecutor of Csongrad county said.

The camerawoman, Petra Laszlo, not only tripped the father with his child in his arms, but also kicked two running children on Tuesday.

Laszlo worked for an internet-based TV station called N1TV. She was fired by N1TV on Tuesday, following the incident.

A statement from N1TV's editor-in-chief Szabolcs Kisberk posted on the network's website read: One of N1TV's colleagues acted unacceptably close to Roszke registration camp and her employment relationship has been terminated without notice. Enditem
