"We agree that Europe, the European Union, should be one international organization without special divisions", Polish and Czech Parliamentary representatives said on Wednesday in Jurata, northern Poland.

A joint meeting of the presidia of the lower house of Polish Parliament (Sejm) and Czech Chamber of Deputies was held to discuss parliamentary cooperation and the EU future.

During a joint press conference following the talks, Speaker of the Polish Sejm Marek Kuchcinski expressed that the cooperation between the two parliaments should be as strong as possible when it comes to attitude toward the EU, nevertheless differences of opinion on certain issues appeared, such as euro introduction.

Kuchcinski informed that both sides agreed on the fact that they should "strengthen cooperation, exchange information more quickly and fully and always seek solutions in advance on issues demanding strengthened cooperation".

"We talked about what ... the governments could undertake and decide, for example ... two-speed Europe or the euro issue. I believe that we could even hold a discussion on that in our parliaments in parallel and the results of such a discussion could have a much stronger resonance", Czech Speaker, Radek Vondracek stated.

Polish Press Agency (PAP) reported that both sides also agreed on the importance of the V4 format, comprised of Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. The meeting also focused on the issues such as bilateral and regional cooperation as well as the future of EU.
